Basic information of F-2-7

[Applicable qualifications] 

- A person who intends to stay in Korea for a long period of time to be granted permanent residence status.

[Period of stay] 5 years.

① Hold an F-2-7 visa, and after three years, you will be eligible to apply for an F-5 visa.

② You don't have to work for a specific company.

 -  Visa that doesn't matter if you get paid after appearing on the show.

 -  Visa that doesn't matter if you pay for tutoring after private lessons.

 -  Direct Company Operations 

③ If your spouse meets the income requirements, one can also obtain an F-2-7 visa.

[Conditions] 

① Based on the score: You need to score 80 or more out of a total of 120 points to apply.

② Evaluation items: Age (up to 25 points), educational background (up to 35 points), Korean language ability (up to 20 points), 

Current income (up to 10 points), additional/decrease items

 *  Please refer to the F-2-7 visa score sheet on the back page for detailed score criteria.

 *  In the case of an F-2-7 family invitation, the family can only get an F-2 visa if the income of the F-2-7 visa is above GNI, and if the income is insufficient, the family will get an F-1 visa.

③ Professors (E-1), painting guidance (E-2), research (E-3), technical guidance (E-4), professional occupation (E-5), art box office (E-6), specific activities (E-7), study abroad (D-2), coverage (D-5), religion (D-6), presidency (D-7), corporate investment (D-8), trade management (D-9), and employment (D-10 years of professionals). 

-Entertainment workers (E-6-2) at hotels, tourist entertainment establishments, etc. are excluded from those eligible for art box office (E-6) and those who obtained a master's degree or higher at a domestic university (including prospective students) and are confirmed to be employed at a domestic company.

④ This shall not apply to any of the reasons for disqualification below.

 -  Where he/she has been sentenced to imprisonment or higher.

 -  Where he/she has been punished less than a fine for violating domestic laws and regulations, such as the Immigration Control Act, more than three times within two years from the date of application, or has not paid the imposed fine, etc.

[Required documents]

- Application for issuance of a visa (attached Form 21), passport, and alien registration card. 1 standard photograph, commission

- Tuberculosis certificate

- Data explaining the score of each evaluation item on the employment contract or the score sheet of the person with excellent score

- Employment contract or employment certificate, graduation certificate

- proof of residence

- Certificate of experience in overseas crimes (For whom applicable)

- Additional documents requested by the examiner

Points (Basic)

Requirement points: Get 80 points out of 170 points

          1. Evaluation Items: 170 points maximum

           2. Common Items: 130 points maximum

           - Age (25 points maximum)

                      - Education background (25 points maximum)

           - Basic knowledge (20 points maximum)

           - Annual income (60 points maximum)

F-2-7 Additional points 

 Additional points item: 40 points maximum

F-2-7 Extension 

[Condition]

* Subject to extension of stay period 

- Foreigners who are eligible to stay as excellent human resources in the scoring system (F-2-7, F-2-7S)

- Spouse of talented persons with excellent scoring system and resident as underage children; 

- Spouse of talented persons with excellent score system and visiting residents as underage children 

*Permission requirements

- Reasons for disqualification are not applicable

- Among foreigners with 80 or more combined points on the score sheet, the period of stay is differentiated by applying a favorable score to the applicant among the combined score or annual income score.

- Even if the acquisition score is less than 80 points, if a person is currently employed and receives a minimum wage or higher, a grace period is granted by extending it by one year.

-If you are unemployed, you will be allowed to extend your stay twice for six months after filing a memorandum, and if you do not meet the income requirements for the third time, you will not be allowed to extend your stay and will be allowed to change your qualification visa.

- Data explaining the score of each evaluation item on the employment contract or the score sheet of the person with excellent score

- Employment contract or employment certificate

- proof of residence
