Who can apply to Korean universities?
Everyone who meets the basic requirements of their desired Korean University
ex. language abilities, GPA, background education, etc.
*There’re no restrictions regarding applicant’s nationality and country of previous education.
Application Process:
1) Find Korean universities you want to apply to.
2) Become aware of the conditions and requirements for admission.
3) Apply online and/or send your documents to a chosen university by post or fax.
4) Wait for the announcements of the results.
5) If you have been accepted, start your visa application process.
5) When your visa is done, you can come to Korea and start you program!
Education Background Requirements:
- Secondary education completion (for Bachelor’s programs)
- Bachelor’s degree (for Master’s programs)
- GPA: Usually, there is no specific GPA requirements, but applicants with higher grades have better chances to be accepted

Language Requirements:
To apply to a Korean university, you will need to submit at least one language certificate:
- If you are planning to apply to a regular program in Korean, you will need to submit the TOPIK certificate in order to be accepted.
- If you want to apply to a program taught in English, you will need to submit certificate of English proficiency (ex. IELTS)
-TOPIK score required: level 3 or higher
-IELTS score required: 5.5 or higher
-TOEFL score required: 80 or higher

When to apply?
For the spring semester (starting in March), applications are accepted from September to November of the previous year.
For the fall semester (starting in September), applications are accepted from May to June of the same year.
Documents to prepare:
- Application form (can usually be downloaded from university’s website)
- Self-introduction and study plan
- Letter of recommendation
- Academic record at previous institution and proof of graduation
- Photocopy of passport
- Language certificates (TOPIK, IELTS, TOEFL)
- Portfolio, video clips, etc. (for arts and physical education applicants only)
- Documents proving financial stability
